I missed the interactions between the characters from season 1, I thought they had great chemistry so I'm hoping we see more of them in s3. Like others have said, the second half of the season really picks up and becomes much more enjoyable and redeemed the season for me. I was actually really disappointed because season 1 was SO good, and even though it was obviously rushing through things, I still got that sense of a complete story. I spent so much time trying to remember who everyone was, what they were supposed to be doing, and trying to balance the dozen of side plots that were going on that I forgot the main reason they were there. As someone who has not read the books, (I'm waiting to watch the entire series before I read the books, so I don't have the books in my head), I found the beginning of the season super confusing. Okay, just finished season 2 and had to come share my thoughts. How would the"original" 1591 Matthew react to it when people (those who didn't know he time walked) will suddenly ask questions about the whereabouts of his wife?Īlso, how would he react to Jack being his foster kid? I mean sure at some point they must bump into each other and Jack will instantly recognize Matthew or would want to find out where he is once he's a little grown up.Īre these questions answered in the book or would be a part of the next season storyline or it's something that'll be left unanswered?Ĭause my mind is spinning with questions like these and I want answers so badly. And the witch he's married is nowhere to be found (because she went back to her timeline). And that too to a witch I mean, everyone knew about their marriage even if they didn't know that they've time walked like neighbors etc. Specifically the part that he got married. I have a question (idk if it's asked before or not) and I haven't read books yet but I just binged watched the whole two seasons and was wondering with the history being changed, how would the "original" 1590 Matthew react to it after the duo have gone back in future. Like, imagine the tension they could have shown at the end of the season. Because then you can see the grief from Em’s death and the desire for revenge and/or fear from everyone in Sept Tours. I feel like if they did the morning after, it could have been a better scene. Overall, I felt like the season was a little bit rushed maybe due to budget restrictions? And also because they decided to prolong certain character developments that could’ve been shorter, i.e., Marcus’ story. There were times where I just found her annoying. I also enjoyed Goody Alsop, Gallowglass, Francoise, Rabi Loew, and Jack.ĭiana was all right this season. Both characters and actors were just amazing in my eyes. My favourite part of the season was Philippe de Clermont and Christopher Marlowe. I felt like it took so much time off of the main story and characters. spinner-icon.ks-button-primary:not(.ks-button-green).ks-button-spinner: didn’t really enjoy Marcus’ story.
